NFL Power Rankings 2013 – Week 4
NFL power rankings 2013. Nothing in week 4 of the 2013 NFL season moved the Denver Broncos from the number one spot in the NFL power rankings. Peyton Manning is setting fire to NFL defenses through the first 4 weeks of the season.
Chip Kelly and the Philadelphia Eagles were the latest victim in Mile High. The Broncos put a 52-20 beat down on Michael Vick and company. It’s still to early to pass any judgements in Philadelphia. Also, a game against Denver isn’t a barometer for any NFL teams ability to compete.
There were some serious movement in week 4 NFL power rankings, once you get past Denver and Seattle. The Kansas City Chiefs and Andy Reid are no fluke. The Chiefs haven’t played the toughest of competitors but, they’ve outscored them 102-41. I got plenty of people who said I was “crazy” for putting Kansas City so high in the week 2 NFL power rankings. All of you will be thrilled to see the Chiefs jump from 12th to 7th this week.
Other teams rising in the NFL power rankings in week 4 include the Detroit Lions, San Diego Chargers, and Tennessee Titans. The coaching change for Chargers seems to be taking.
The Lions had a good win against division rivals Chicago Bears. That’s not very surprising to me though. Jay Cutler has never been, and will never be, the quarterback to lead that team anywhere.
There were some serious questions raised for some other NFL teams in week 4. The Houston Texans gave up a late game rally to the Seahawks, and Joe Flacco threw 5 interceptions in Baltimore’s loss to the Buffalo Bills. Makes you wonder if the $120 million was money well spent?
No surprise that Jacksonville sits at the bottom of the NFL power rankings for week 4…again. What is surprising is the terrible performance of the New York Giants and Pittsburgh Steelers. At this pace the only thing these two teams will be competing for is 1st pick in the NFL Draft.
