NFL Mock Draft Updated 2013 NFL Combine Change Top 10 Projections

Latest NFL Mock Draft Updated 2013 – Top 10

We have our latest NFL mock draft updated after the start of the 2013 NFL scouting combine. It’s still very early, but some skill positions are starting to look good. West Virginia’s Geno Smith has had the best day for quarterbacks, posting a nice 4.56 in the 40 yard dash.

The biggest news is still Manti Te’o and his press conference yesterday. Nothing changed about how the Notre Dame draft candidate is dealing with the situation. Overall there won’t be any change to his value due to the hoax. What coaches and scouts most talk about is the terrible tape during the Alabama game.

The running backs are up next, and if history is any indication, skill positions will rise in value. This NFL mock draft updated the first overall pick back to Luke Joeckel. Free agency could change this, but Andy Reid would be wise to lock up the tackle position with Brandon Albert being an unrestricted free agent.

Geno Smith may end up as the first overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. Kansas City is in need of a quarterback, but rumors of a free agent signing are picking up. If Smith keeps up this pace in the combine, those rumors may decline quickly.

NFL Mock Draft Updated 2013 – Top Ten

LATEST NFL MOCK DRAFT 2013 UPDATED
NFL Mock Draft Updated 2013 NFL Combine Change Top 10 Projections1st Pick: Kansas City Chiefs
Luke Joeckel
OT 6’5″ 306 LBS. Texas A&M

Geno Smith had a good first day at the NFL Scouting Combine, putting up an unofficial 4.56 in the 40 yard dash. That may not be enough though, Branden Albert is a free agent so Andy Reid would be wise to lock up the tackle position with the best player available. That player is Luke Joeckel.

NFL Mock Draft Updated 2013 NFL Combine Change Top 10 Projections2nd Pick: Jacksonville Jaguars
Dee Milliner
CB 6’1″ 205 LBS. Alabama

Milliner moves up in his mock draft updated. The fact is that Jacksonville needs a good corner, and you don’t pass on one this good. His zone coverage is the best in this class, and he will be a first year impact player in the NFL.

NFL Mock Draft Updated 2013 NFL Combine Change Top 10 Projections3rd Pick: Oakland Raiders
Star Lotulelei
DT 6’3″ 320 LBS. Utah

Lotulelei will offer the interior rush that Oakland is in desperate need for, among other things, and will make an impact on day one.

NFL Mock Draft Updated 2013 NFL Combine Change Top 10 Projections4th Pick: Philadelphia Eagles
Sharrif Floyd
DT 6’3″ 303 LBS. Florida

With Chip Kelly no longer talking quarterback, it’s time to speed up and anchor the defensive line. Floyd is the best option for the Eagles, even if it means passing on Joeckel.

NFL Mock Draft Updated 2013 NFL Combine Change Top 10 Projections5th Pick: Detroit Lions
Damontre Moore
G 6’4″ 248 LBS. Texas A&M

The Lions could use Moore after losing Kyle Vandenbosh to keep that defensive line solid. Free agency will likely see them lose Cliff Avril as well. Moore is solid and with a little coaching will make Detroit’s pass rush even better.

NFL Mock Draft Updated 2013 NFL Combine Change Top 10 Projections6th Pick: Cleveland Browns
Chance Warmack
G 6’2″ 325 LBS. Alabama

With a RB like Trent Richardson, it only makes sense to finish out the already impressive offensive line in Cleveland. Picking up Warmack would give the Browns Mack, Thomas, and Warmack to both protect their QB, and open up truck size holes for Richardson.

NFL Mock Draft Updated 2013 NFL Combine Change Top 10 Projections7th Pick: Arizona Cardinals
Geno Smith
QB 6’3″ 214 LBS West Virginia

Geno Smith will be the first quarterback selected, and he should fit well in Arizona. Though he can run, he wants to be a traditional QB. New head coach Bruce Arians will accept nothing else.

NFL Mock Draft Updated 2013 NFL Combine Change Top 10 Projections8th Pick: Buffalo Bills
Mike Glennon
QB 6’6″ 232 LBS. North Carolina State

Pretty straight forward, the Bills NEED a quarterback, and Glennon seems to top the list, though I can’t see Buffalo passing if Geno Smith were available.
NFL Mock Draft Updated 2013 NFL Combine Change Top 10 Projections9th Pick: New York Jets
Cordarrelle Patterson
WR 6’3″ 205 LBS. Tennessee

Rex Ryan and the Jets need to start on offense, not that there is a lack of holes to fill everywhere else. Patterson is explosive and dynamic, both are things the Jets need immediately.

NFL Mock Draft Updated 2013 NFL Combine Change Top 10 Projections10th Pick: Tennessee Titans
Sheldon Richardson
DT 6’4″ 295 LBS. Missouri

Richardson is a steal right now, but should be available here. Werner is the other obvious choice if Richardson is taken.

your the first person to mention Mike Glennon, not mobile enough, too turnover prone, too much of a project to take as a franchise QB, weak QB draft or not the Bills are not a great team who is just a project QB away from many super bowls…they also need to upgrade positions that are a strength in the draft more then a QB is needed, QBs on the roster might be better with time and a few targets to throw to

I think Fitzpatrick is better than Glennon and, better than Smith right now. The issue is ownership. They made it clear that they want a quarterback in the draft. I agree with you 100% that there are many positions they should focus on before replacing Fitzpatrick.
