One such game is Overwatch, which will host its Winter Wonderland event for the second year in the row beginning next week.
Jeff Kaplan, in the latest developer update video, announced that this new mode coming with the Overwatch Winter Wonderland will be a PvE brawl called "Mei's Yeti Hunt" and will feature a team of 5 Meis fighting against a Yeti skinned Winston while he's on his ultimate state Primal Rage. This will include new Legendary skins for Hanzo, Junkrat, and Roadhog, and the skins previously released for last year's event.
We expect to get a glimpse of more skins leading up to the event next week. The latter will be getting the appropriate holiday decorations along with Kings Row and Hanamura who got theirs a year ago. The Winter Wonderland exclusive mode is now playable on both the Ecopoint Antarctica and Black Forest maps, and it's joined by a new "silly and ridiculous" mode known as Mei's Yeti Hunt. This new mode sees five Meis square off a single Winston in the Nepal village map. The big thing here is that a player will actually control the yeti, which is a powered up version of Winston. Mei has a new ability that's specific to this mode, Ice Trap, and she can use it along with her usual Ice Wall to fend off the yeti. If Winston kills enough Meis, he wins. If Winston, an innocent yeti who's just trying to live his life, man, falls amidst the Meis' blizzard of senseless violence, then they win. Kaplan added that many of Overwatch's seasonal brawls are simply created to be fun, lighthearted and refreshing Arcade exercises that are available for a limited time.
