Dwayne Johnson has certainly made his mark on Hollywood over the years, and the wrestler-turned-actor is now being honored for his contributions to the industry with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Variety reports.
Dwayne Johnson was first famous wrestling as "The Rock" when he was working in the WWE. A leading man who is able to do comedy, action, drama and armed with a superstar appeal and charisma - The Rock is building up to have another stellar year in 2018.
Variety reported Johnson will receive his star in a ceremony December 13 for his global box office success and for using that success to help others.
The Fast and Furious series star will be honored next Wednesday, December 13. "We envision scores of photos being taken at his star by his fans", stated Ana Martinez, Producer of the Walk of Fame ceremonies. See everyone there! This year alone, Johnson stars in three movies that include "Baywatch", "The Fate of the Furious" and highly-anticipated "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle", which is slated to hit USA theaters on December 20. His movies have made nearly $3 billion at the box office. He's also been cast in a new Disney film called Jungle Cruise, as well at two other features, Rampage and Skyscraper. Joe: Retaliation, Walking Tall and Baywatch, among others. It's safe to say that Hollywood really knows what The Rock is cooking.
This year alone, he starred in three huge movies.
