As a part of the 2017 Game Awards Show, a number of new games were announced or showcased; though one of the show stealers appears to be another cinematic trailer for Hideo Kojima's upcoming game Death Stranding. Unlike the debut E3 2016 glimpse at the game or the 2016 Game Awards trailer, this latest trailer gives us quite a few clues about possible gameplay mechanics and a few small strands of the storyline. The eight-minute trailer gave us a much deeper look into the utterly weird world of the first title to come from Kojima Productions. Sam and his fellow team members are assaulted by an invisible enemy that can make their victims dissolve into nothingness nearly instantly.
As you can tell from the tweet above, it seems like Kojima is simply advertising a potential product, the "thing" that Norman Reedus is seen wearing around his neck in the various Death Stranding videos.
Death Stranding is in development for PlayStation 4. While the trailer goes on to get more freakish from there, one of the most notable moments is our first look at the enemies of the game. "Then came the next explosion, an explosion that will be our last". What is up with the babies?
