Auto hits pedestrians in lower Manhattan, NYPD says

At least six people were hurt when a auto ended up on a sidewalk after crashing into two other vehicles in Lower Manhattan. Three more people were hurt when the vehicle went up on the sidewalk. Vehicle traffic in the area was closed as police investigated the situation.

Six people were injured in the crash, including the drivers of the Ford and the Mercedes.

Four people were taken to hospital but none of them are believed to hover life-threatening injuries.

Cops have said the auto was involved in at least two crashes before coming to a stop near Liberty Street and Broadway. It jumped a curb during the crash. He added that the incident did not appear to be intentional.
