A representative for John Mayer confirmed to CNN that he is out of surgery and recovering.

"Thank you everyone for the well wishes", he wrote. In the tweet, he mentions being "sorry that we couldn't finish out the last few dates of the tour". However, the scheduled performance of Dead & Company at Orlando's Amway Center (400 W. Church St.) set for tomorrow, December 7, has been postponed.

The show, which was set for December 12 at the Masonic in San Francisco, will be rescheduled for January or February. The new date will be announced as soon as possible, according to Amway Center officials.

Dead & Company is made up of former members of the the Grateful Dead including Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart along with Oteil Burbridge, and Jeff Chimenti. "Should ticketholders choose to seek a refund, they will be available at point of purchase".

The Dead & Company show scheduled for December 7 at the Amway has been cancelled because John Mayer really needed to get his appendix removed. His publicity team shared that the Tuesday show, as well as the two remaining Florida shows, will be rescheduled.
