Eve officially joins 'The Talk' as new host

Eve rounds out the panel that includes show creator Sara Gilbert, Julie Chen, Sharon Osbourne, and Sheryl Underwood.

Actress and musician Eve made her official debut as co-host of The Talk during Tuesday's episode of the CBS daytime talk show. "The great success of "The Talk' is due to the undeniable chemistry and bond of friendship between the hosts".

After a brief guest-hosting stint in October, the daytime talk series has decided to make Grammy-winning artist Eve Jeffers Cooper, known to her fans simply as "Eve", the fifth co-host for Season 8. Although Eve now resides in London, the rapper turned actress says she couldn't turn down the opportunity, even if it meant moving across the pond to The Talk's homeland (Los Angeles).

"Honestly, I am the most excited I've been in a long long long time", Eve, whose full name is Eve Jihan Jeffers-Cooper, told her fellow co-hosts.

Eve rose to fame in the late 90's in the world of hip-hop, peaking in 2001 with her Grammy-winning collaboration with Gwen Stefani for her biggest hit, "Let Me Blow Ya Mind".

"I'm looking forward to being able to showcase my personality in a way that people have never seen before", she adds. I started recording a few months ago. This opportunity came and it's something new, something exciting. "These women made me feel fearless, they made me feel bold and energized and ready to pursue my dreams". "I'm kind of quiet on social media, so this is a fun way for me to be expressive and show people who I am right now".
