While it's probably safe to say that we're all unbelievably pumped for this weekend's release of the Justice League movie, it's interesting to note that some other DC trivia is being brought to light that's entirely separate from the big team-up flick. In the on-screen adaptation, Abrams calls upon a star-studded cast, grabbing notable names like Ben Affleck, Jennifer Aniston, Zach Galifianakis, Ty Burrell, Jon Hamm, Will Arnett, Jason Bateman, and Shaquille O'Neal. Damon shows up as their the evil, melodramatic nemesis, Dr. Bolt, it shows just how successful and loved Jimmy Kimmel has become in Hollywood.
"The best one, and in retrospect one that hurts me still to this day, we weren't sure what it was because they told us it was a secret project", Affleck said.
Kimmel went on to joke about how Affleck and Matt Damon's have turned out over the years, with one having a far more significant role in a comic book franchise than the other. "And you know why?"
Justice League hits theaters by the end of the week, and nearly every actor in the roster is busy promoting the film. Matt Damon and Wanda Sykes play the villains in the trailer. There's a new superhero team in town. Despite the formation of an unprecedented league of heroes - Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash - it may be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions. Some of these characters might have been in The Lego Batman Movie (if Kite-Man was, anyone could have been) but that doesn't really count as an introduction.
