Victor Garber to Leave 'Legends of Tomorrow'

Garber has been a series regular since the beginning of Legends of Tomorrow, forming one half of Firestorm with Jefferson "Jax" Jackson, played by Franz Drameh.

Victor Garber is ending his run on DC's Legends of Tomorrow this season. The rumors intensified over the summer, and while the CW and the show's producing studio Warner Bros.

Then again, cast turnover is the one constant on Legends of Tomorrow, which has always been meant to have a rotating group of characters.

The report states that Garber's exit has been planned meticulously to give Stein a fitting send-off. TV have yet to comment on the news, Garber's imminent departure was inadvertently made clear in September when it was revealed that Garber would return to Broadway to star in the Tony-winning revival of "Hello, Dolly!". Garber takes over the role from David Hyde Pierce (with Peters stepping in for Bette Midler.) His first show is January 20. Or will the Legends scoop a younger version of Stein from the timeline to be part of the team?

I first heard rumblings about a potential Garber exit last spring as Legends of Tomorrow was wrapping its second season. It's hard to imagine him simultaneously working on a primetime network show, which has its own demanding schedule. He has appeared as a series regular since the show premiered.

Another possibility is to keep using the Victor Garber character, but maybe as time travel is involved, a younger version could be used, which would still enable Victor Garber to return some time down the line.

"Legends of Tomorrow" Season 3 airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
