The folks at Netflix are kicking off the season two countdown with a new trailer that will be released on Friday the 13th. Watch the final trailer above. Of course we're all going to watch the new Stranger Things trailer, because it's wonderful and we're all powerless to resist the veritable gravitational pull of the Upside Down.
This is the part where Dustin, Mike (Finn Wolfhard) and Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) come in to point and laugh in our faces, by the way.
The return to Hawkins, Indiana, and the Upside Down will be darker than last season, and will pick up a year after the story left off. Easier said than done, as Will is still haunted from his time trapped in the Upside Down and experiencing visions of a giant "shadow monster" that looks like a supporting character from the Denis Villeneuve film Enemy. We purposely don't want to go too much into what it is or what it wants. In addition to Astin, the series has also added Paul Reiser (Aliens), Brett Gelman (Jobs), Dacre Montgomery (Power Rangers), Danish actress Linnea Berthelsen, and Broadway star Sadie Sink into the mix as well.
The second season of Stranger Things is drawing closer to its release, and Netflix has been busy working on the marketing campaign for The Duffer brothers' popular science fiction fantasy horror series.
