Super Mario Mario Warms up to his Odyssey with Dance Act

Oh, and Nintendo transformed Super Mario Odyssey into a musical for the game's latest trailer. As a way to ease the impatience (or maybe to strengthen it), Nintendo has released a music video for the upcoming game.

The trailer doesn't have much as far as new content goes, save for some new controllable cap things, but jeez does it say a lot about Super Mario Odyssey's tone. Nintendo is also releasing a Super Mario Odyssey-themed Nintendo Switch carry case.

Mario may be trying to stop Bowser yet again in Super Mario Odyssey, but this may be the first game where Mario is actually having fun on the journey there. So apparently I'm not the only one who sees a stage in Mario's future.

Aside from the Broadway stuff, we also see plenty of gameplay and the number of enemies Mario can possess with his hat. The story here is that Princess Daisy is the mayor of New Donk City, and moonlights as a singer, giving Mario a little serenade during his adventure in New Donk City. And yes, it's a goofy send-up of the game's New Donk City level, which features human characters alongside the diminutive heroic plumber.

Thankfully, Nintendo has made the song available to download for free on the Super Mario Odyssey website.
