The Los Angeles Police Department officer assigned to the Foothill Division was shot in the leg in the mass-shooting, said Officer Rosario Herrera of the LAPD's Media Relations Section, adding that the officer was the only LAPD officer wounded in the massacre.

Among the more than 50 people killed by suspected gunman Stephen Paddock at the Route 91 Harvest festival was Rachael Parker, a records technician at the Manhattan Beach Police Department, the agency confirmed.

One of these victims was in critical condition Monday, with the status of the other two victims unknown.

About 15 to 20 off-duty San Diego police officers were also at the festival, according to San Diego police.

Police in Ontario say a 24-year-old officer who was wounded is stable.

Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo says two off-duty officers have died.

McGrath says they could see people around them being hit by gunfire. One Bakersfield Police Department officer was struck by a bullet from the active shooter and is being treated at a Las Vegas hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

"(We) carried a girl who was shot", said Quackenbush, describing the victim as a woman in her 20s.

"Many (Association of Orange County Deputy Sheriffs) members and their families attended the concert and were present when the attack occurred", according to an email.

Seven off-duty San Diego Fire-Rescue Department firefighters were also in Las Vegas, said spokeswoman Monica Munoz. The other was stable, the Sheriff's Department stated in a news release.

"It saddens me to say that I lost my wife of 32 years, a mother of two, soon to be grandmother of five this evening in the Las Vegas shooting", Tony Burditus wrote.

SWAT officers using explosives stormed the gunman's hotel room and found he had killed himself, authorities said.
