Compared with the Note7, the Galaxy Note Fan Edition has an upgraded processor which makes it capable in handling heavier computational lifting; and a new and safe 3,200mAh battery which is compliant with Samsung's 8 point safety check. This new feature would allow users to continue using fingerprint sensors for authentication even without bezels on their devices. The smartphone is listed on Samsung's official India website.

Samsung's homeland is unlikely to see the Galaxy Note FE restocked, with quite a few "reengineered" units headed for Experience Stores, authorized dealers and selected channel partners across Malaysia starting October 25. The new edition is smaller than the its predecessor as it has faced a size reduction than the previous device as the 2016 edition of the device comes with a 5-inch Super AMOLED capacitive display.

Software: J2 (2017) runs on Android OS.

The device is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Exynos processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. The phone comes with an expandable storage support of up to 128GB via a microSD card.

Front camera: The smartphone features a 2-megapixel selfie camera.

Samsung Galaxy J2 2017 Edition sports a 5MP auto-focus rear camera with flash. Logically, this means that the fingerprint scanner has to be placed on the back of the phone, since the display covers the entire front end.

The device is backed by a 2000mAh removable battery that Samsung claims lasts up to 9 hours on LTE.

Measuring 136.5 x 69.0 x 8.4mm, the smartphone weighs 130 grams. Samsung released the refurbished Galaxy Note 7 in South Korea months earlier. The company hasn't revealed the availability details of the device as of yet, but will soon do so in the days to come.

The Samsung Galaxy J2 (2017) smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs 7,390 and comes in Gold and Black colour options.
