Overwatch's Halloween Terror Event is Live, Check Out All the Features

Overwatch players can enjoy some spooky fun for the next three weeks thanks to the launch of this year's Halloween Terror event.

Overwatch's Halloween Terror seasonal event is back once again, and this time around not only are there numerous new skins and cosmetic items, but the Junkenstein's Revenge brawl is getting some tweaks to.

In total, there are 140 event-specific cosmetic items available from loot boxes while Overwatch's 2017 Halloween event runs, including the 50 new seasonal items.

Many people are likely to be drawn to the new skins introduced with Halloween Terror. There are over 140 items available, and if you happened to miss out on any of the Loot Box drops past year, these items can be purchased with credits for a discounted price.

Typically past Overwatch events have all started at the same time and we see no reason Blizzard will deviate from their usual procedure. We'd recommend having at least one healer on your team for the Junkenstein's Revenge Endless mode, as well as Torbjorn, who can prove particularly useful when you place his turret right outside the castle gates.

About a week ago, Reddit user Mnemosynaut leaked images of the new Halloween skins for Mei, Symmetra, Reaper and Zenyatta. With more heroes available (originally just Ana, Hanzo, McCree, and Soldier: 76 were available), you'll get a loot box for playing and completing 12 waves.

As an added bonus, the old skins introduced past year were also available at a slightly cheaper price. The players' objective is to hold out until the final wave while going up against hordes of Zomnics, Junkenstein's Monster, the Witch of the Wilds, the Reaper, and Dr. Junkenstein himself. Last year's event replaced all in-game loot boxes with Halloween-inspired jack-o'-lanterns.
