Jose Mourinho speaks out about Marouane Fellaini's knee ligament injury

If they respect me as much as I respect them, we are going to have another one of those matches. We are playing against a good team with very good players.

De Bruyne registered 18 assists in the 2016-17 campaign for Pep Guardiola's side, more than any other player in the top flight, and he has started the new campaign in similar style.

Both Mourinho and Salah will meet again on October 14 when Liverpool hosts Manchester United in the Premier League.

Juventus centre-back Bonucci was deemed surplus to requirements by Mourinho at Inter Milan before going on to win six Serie A titles with Juve.

But it was Jose Mourinho that appeared to kick up the most fuss. We lost players this season. He then allowed the Spaniard to join rivals Manchester United in the following January transfer window.

Fellaini had been in fine form heading in to the worldwide break and scored twice during the 4-0 win over Crystal Palace last time out so many thought the news would come a disappointment to Mourinho.

"He's given them that little bit of extra pace in behind, proven goalscorer in the Premier League".

The £75m striker took only 12 minutes to take his tally for club and country this season to 16 - he has scored in nine games in a row - but Mourinho was dismayed he was used at all, given Belgium were 3-0 up, he had missed their weekend game with Bosnia, and the importance of United's game at Anfield.

Salah was signed by Chelsea under Mourinho's watch but he was given few opportunities before being loaned out to Fiorentina and Roma. After scoring 25 goals over 141 appearances with the club, he moved on to Manchester United in the form of a four-year deal in September 2013. "It would be unfair to say Lukaku and Matic didn't have an impact in the improvement of the team - of course they did".

The centre-back is a key player at the Mestalla and was touted as a possible Chelsea transfer target this summer, according to reports in Italy. Another one plays, no problem for me.

"I'm not surprised with Salah's performance this season", Mourinho told BeIN Sports, quoted by Metro.
