While Taare Zameen Par got us teary-eyed with the emotional story of Ishaan, Secret Superstar is striking chords with the audience with the story of a young girl chasing her dreams.
Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, who will next be seen in the Advait Chandan directorial, "Secret Superstar", has said that this movie is about the youth of today, especially the girls. Then in "PK" he did something unpredictable again and now in "Dangal" he played an old father, and that puts apart Aamir from any other Superstar. Speaking to news agency PTI, Aamir said: "Anyone who has the ability to fill seats gets a bigger share in the fee". Reportedly, "Dangal" is the first Indian movie in the history of film's trade business to near the Rs 2000 crore mark worldwide. "Unfortunately, most of the stars in our country are males". I am someone who strongly believes in equality whether you are man or a woman. Fortunately, all my films have been done well, if they don't do well then I am the one who is hit. "There is no question about it", Aamir said. "I decided that I should do it and not be afraid of anything", the actor, known for his perfectionism, said.
"In films, there are two levels of payments that we have".
Aamir Khan and Fatima have reunited for Yash Raj Film's latest "Thugs Of Hindostan", directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, which also features Amitabh Bachchan. "I don't understand why is a cameraman's or an editor's work less important than an actor's".
Aamir thinks there is no gender inequality in the film industry. "I am 52. So, there is less difference between us", Aamir said. I strongly feel all the people in the creative team are contributing equally and should be paid equally.
Produced by Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao under the banner name of Aamir Khan Productions, Zee Studios, and Akash Chawla, the flick is slated to release on October 19.
