WhatsApp allows picture-in-picture video calls, text status updates

WhatsApp has been rolling to several new features nearly every other day; this is basically because the Facebook-owned messaging platform is aiming towards improving its functionalities. However, Android users will still have to wait as the feature has been made available only on Android 8.0 Oreo devices. Moreover, the second feature lets users avail text-only updates as their status with extra options of changing the background color and adding the text to it.

The PiP (Picture in Picture mode) allow users to resize the video calling window and drag it anywhere on the screen while availing multitasking at the same time. This means that if the user wants to send a text message to another person during video calling, then through this feature he will be able to do this easily. This way you can put your own website or referral links on your status bar which will be appeared for 24 hours. The free messaging app has been rumored to be working on releasing a new feature entitles: WhatsApp for Business. As earlier, which will be visible only for 24 hours. Users need to simply tap the back button shown in the app to switch to PIP mode once the video call begins. With this feature, users can now post a text only status. So, how does this feature work? It is a fun feature, but most users still prefer the traditional text-only.

Meanwhile, it was also reported that there is a new code to "send WhatsApp message" through Facebook ad manager for businesses which is part of the plans to monetise the instant-messaging giant. The business variant of Whatsapp is aimed to improve the connectivity between businesses and its customers, and also augment the productivity of organizations.
