The No. 14 Cardinals will host the No. 3 Clemson Tigers at 8 p.m. Saturday in the team's home opener at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. The game will be televised on ABC.
Earlier it was announced that ESPN College Gameday will be making a return trip to the city of Louisville for the much anticipated Louisville vs. Clemson game. Louisville and Clemson played an epic game previous year which saw the Tigers prevail 42-36.
Clemson, meanwhile, has shown no signs of drop off from last season.
The College GameDay crew is headed to Louisville, Kentucky.
Clemson has a 5-6 record in its previous GameDay appearances, including a 4-1 record when the Clemson campus is hosting the show. 2 Ohio State. Curtailing Jackson's production obviously will be Clemson's primary focus against Louisville. Louisville QB Lamar Jackson was all over the place in that one, tossing for 393 yards and three touchdowns while also rushing for 132 yards and three more scores on 19 carries.
The two ACC nemeses have produced fireworks in each of their first three meetings since Louisville joined the league.
