Mississippi State In-Game Updates


Nick Fitzgerald accounted for four touchdowns as Mississippi State stunned No. 12 LSU 37-7 Saturday night in Starkville.

LSU (2-1, 0-1 SEC) had 9 penalties for 112 yards, including two touchdowns called back and two players ejected for targeting. Meanwhile, Fitzgerald and the Bulldogs scored 30 unanswered points against LSU's defensive depleted from injury and disqualification.

LSU's lone score came on Darrel Williams' 10-yard TD run in the first quarter, which made the score 7-7.

On the Tigers' opening drive, a 66 yard touchdown pass from senior quarterback Danny Etling to senior receiver DJ Chark was wiped off the board due to offensive pass interference.

In past two losses to LSU, Mississippi State ran for a combined 99 yards.
