Mourinho and United face a struggling Crystal Palace side on Saturday, while Liverpool travel up to Newcastle on Sunday in a game where both teams will be looking to build on their steady starts to the season.

Man of the Match in Moscow, Anthony Martial, was withdrawn on 72 minutes as a precaution against CSKA with Mourinho admitting afterwards: "It was a pity he couldn't play for 90 minutes because I was ready to leave him on the pitch for the whole game".

The Reds maintained their 100% record in the competition this season with a 4-1 victory away in Russian Federation to CSKA Moscow, a usually tricky fixture.

"I can't see anything but a United win here and it's going to comfortable for Jose Mourinho and his side".

However, Mourinho could still decide to rotate the French global with Marcus Rashford coming back in on the left side of attack while Juan Mata is expected to return after being left out in midweek.

There is, however, no update on Antonio Valencia, who didn't fly out to Moscow, or Paul Pogba, who has missed the last four games after sustaining a hamstring injury in United's first Champions League match against Basel on 12 September. "And Fellaini I have a hope, just a hope". He is humble and wants to learn and improve all the time.

The Red Devils have enjoyed a positive opening to the 2017-18 campaign, with nine games negotiated in all competitions without defeat. They look like they will compete to win the big trophies.

Christian Benteke joined Connor Wickham in the treatment room with a knee injury he picked against Manchester City and is expected to be ruled out for at least six weeks.
