After breaking ties with the Windows Phone, Nokia has experienced a resurrection of sorts courtesy of HMD Global, who following wide praise of its Nokia 8 phone is tipped to release an upgraded model shortly. It has the same 5.3 (inch) Quad-HD Display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, 700nits brightness. The Nokia 9 ships with either 6GB or 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM.

Nokia 9 is going to be the same as the Nokia 8 in terms of Specs.

As per a report by WinFuture, the Nokia brand licensee will be launching the upcoming top-end variant of the Nokia 8 smartphone in Germany on October 20. It should be an IP68 dust and water resistant certified device.

After re-entering the smartphone market and bringing four new smartphones powered with Android, Nokia may soon unveil another feature packed phone that will be called Nokia 9.

An octa-core Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835 (4×2.45 GHz Kryo & 4×1.9 GHz Kryo) along with Adreno 540 GPU powers this device. When the Nokia 8 had first been launched, it came with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage, a configuration which is hardly flagship. Both the front and the back cameras are capable of recording 4K footage and comes with Nokia's Dual-Sight mode which let's you use both the cameras simultaneously. A 13MP primary RGB sensor plus a 13MP monochrome sensor. When Nokia 8 was launched previously in London, the HMD Global strongly marketed the handset with its unique feature of "Bothies". They are not the Nokia 2 variants headed to China, as they come with fast charging support, something that the Nokia 2 will not offer.

According to WinFuture, beginning on October 20 HMD will release a new Nokia 8 variant in Germany (with it following to the U.S. not long after).
