"In case of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, we still don't have replacement but Yuvraj's place has multiple contenders", the official, who can't come on record told PTI today.

Talented Karnataka batsman Manish Pandey is expected to make a comeback into the Indian limited overs squad for the upcoming series against Sri Lanka, which could well be veteran Yuvraj Singh's last chance to revive his floundering global career.

Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane have all made the cut. He last played an ODI against New Zealand in October 2016 and has now regained his spot in the national team.

Veteran batsman Yuvraj Singh has been left out of India's squad for the upcoming limited-overs games in Sri Lanka.

Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel and Shardul Thakur were also named in the 15-man squad.

The bowling department might see some shuffling as Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Shami are set to be rested.

The All-India Senior Selection Committee has picked the India Cricket Team for the five-match One Day International series and only Twenty20 International against Sri Lanka.

Jasprit Bumrah makes a comeback after much needed rest while rookie Mumbai pacer Shardul Thakur has also been included in the side. Dinesh Karthik, who earned a recall to the side during the Champions Trophy, and scored 52 runs in two matches during the West Indies tour that followed, was dropped.
