FC Barcelona have led tributes to those killed and injured in the terrorist attacks in the Catalan city on Thursday.
However, Barcelona have confirmed that the Belgium worldwide was back in training on Friday morning as Ernesto Valverde's players continued the preparation for the first La Liga encounter of the new season against Betis.
Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde said his team are not afraid and can not hide after Thursday's terror attacks in Catalonia.
Despite the win there was a subdued feeling at the Nou Camp before and during the game with only 56,480 supporters going to the 99,000-capacity arena. The attack took place along Las Ramblas, a popular tourist-filled promenade with many shops and kiosks that sell FC Barcelona jerseys and merchandise.
A handsome minute of silence was observed before kick-off and, perhaps understandably, the atmosphere was somewhat sombre as the Camp Nou recorded an unusually low attendance of 56,480, with many supporters staying at home. But all of us have to help him.
The name "Barcelona" will be exhibited at the back of the jerseys instead of the names of the players. What we can not do is hide.
Inside the stadium, the club will hold a moment of silence before Sunday's La Liga opener against Real Betis.
Barcelona haven't even played their first match of the La Liga season, and they're already not enjoying their campaign.
An emotional minute's silence was held before the game as the music of Catalan cellist Pau Casals played in the background. All 72 teams in the English soccer leagues also are wearing black armbands this weekend in solidarity.
After the attack, the team's star player, Lionel Messi, posted on Instagram: "I want to send my condolences and all my support to the families and friends of the victims of the awful attack in our beloved Barcelona, as well as rejecting totally any act of violence. We are many more who want to live in a peaceful world, without hate and where respect and tolerance form the base of coexistence".
What time does the Barcelona vs Real Betis match start?
Barcelona won the Miami game, 3-2.
Prior to the attacks, Barca had endured a hard start to the season on the field as shorn of Neymar following his world record 222 million euro ($261 million) move to Paris Saint-Germain, the Catalans were swept aside 5-1 on aggregate by Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup.
