In the wake of appointing former Ajax man Frank de Boer as the full-time replacement for the suddenly-departed Sam Allardyce, Palace's website chose to festoon their fans with some facts, stats and important numbers regarding the latest Selhurst Park incumbent.
The club tweeted out the playing career of their new manager from their official account, accompanied with two pictures - only they were of Ronald playing for Ajax and the Netherlands and not of Frank.
The 47-year-old had been out of management since being fired as Inter Milan boss back in November 2016 - which he naturally wasn't too happy about that given the fact he had only been in the job for three months. He could even have taken over Everton last summer.
Crystal Palace will play an attractive style of football under Frank de Boer that can be effective in the Premier League. "I am focusing on this job right now and what happens in the future is not important".
"I want a team where the fans are excited to come to our games, to see a team that wants to win and wants to fight for every minute", he said.
The Dutchman succeeds Sam Allardyce, who resigned at the end of the season.
De Boer led Ajax to four straight league titles during his time at the Dutch club from 2010-16 before joining Inter, where his reputation was damaged by lasting only 14 matches and 84 days in charge.
"We are not naive. You can be dominant without the ball by trying to move the opposition where you want them to go".
