Ruby Rose slams Katy Perry

After releasing Chained to the Rhythm and Bon Appetit, Katy Perry dropped the third song from her new album Witness.

Though Perry hasn't yet officially confirmed "Swish Swish" is about Taylor, Ruby Rose pretty much did all the talking for her.

"A tiger / Don't lose no sleep / Don't need opinions / From a selfish or a sheep", Perry sings. When Kim posted the video of Taylor approving the song, Katy wasted to time tweeting a GIF that most likely represented an "I told you so".

"Pink Ferragamo sliders on deck/Silly rap beefs just get me more checks/My life is a movie, I'm never offset / Me and my amigos, no, not Offset", she spits, serving up a dizzying display of wordplay.

That said, she does acknowledge that Nicki Minaj is "great on it" so that's something. She later added, "I toured with Nicki". But, let me say this: Everything has a reaction or a effect so don't forget about that, okay, honey. "Very amusing and very talented".

But Rose's rant against Perry didn't end there. I think there's a healing in it for me and vulnerability.

"I've always stood up for the people I love and against things I think are cheap or mean spirited".

Rose followed up with another tweet criticizing Perry's role as an activist. By saying, "Fetch happen", Rose cited the classic quote from 2004 film Mean Girls.

It bears mentioning that Rose is a good friend of Perry's frenemy Taylor Swift, who was rumored to have slammed Perry with 2014 track "Bad Blood".

"Wasn't around sweetheart but my bully experiences came from one of the people involved in that song and it's obviously not T", she wrote.

Perry was already firmly #TeamNotTaylor at this point, and tweeted to make her alliance with Minaj known. I'm sure they will try to make it the biggest song on Katy's next album.

When we heard that Katy Perry was dropping a new song, we were excited, yes, but we were not prepared for the potential level of sass that was going to come with it.
