The Samsung Galaxy S6 and S7, for instance, would not allow many users cleanly switch from Verizon to T-Mobile and vice versa because of missing LTE bands.

This is the reason why it won't let users use this security feature for Samsung Pay payments.

Microsoft also added that the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+ Microsoft Edition smartphones are already available for pre-orders starting today.

"The S8 is a unquestionably a strong product but Samsung must now deliver a faultless launch to move on from its earlier difficulties". But, with Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+, Microsoft together with the South Korean smartphone manufacturer have made a decision to move a notch further to strengthen their partnership and decides to bring a special Microsoft edition of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+. In addition, the Galaxy S8 and S8+ are equipped with Bluetooth 5 that helps users to stream audio to two speakers or headsets at the same time. Both these devices also include a fingerprint scanner which is now located at the back. However, along with the Samsung Galaxy S8, the LG's latest G6 flagship smartphone also retain the port.

Samsung made a big deal about how many ways in which the new Galaxy S8 can be secured and unlocked.

- The new phones will come with an advanced 8MP F1.7 smart autofocus front camera and 12MP F1.7 dual pixel rear camera for the best low-light, zoom and anti-blur photos with enhanced image processing.

The Galaxy S8 is due to be released in Australia on April 28 for $1199 and $1349 for the larger "plus" version. This enables Galaxy S8 users to unlock their smartphone by simply looking at the front of the device.

A major new feature of the phone is the artificially intelligent voice assistant dubbed Bixby - effectively the company's answer to the iPhone's Siri.
