This added slice of weirdness to add to the mountain of odd that is Nier will be packaged with the 3C3C1D119440927 DLC, because brevity is for losers. Well, the ones who have been shown are Yosuke Matsuda, CEO of Square Enix, and PlatinumGames president, Kenichi Sato.
The DLC will give players three new colosseums to take on, as well as a variety of new sub-quests. These include new outfits for 2B, 9S, and A2 that you can see below.
Square Enix celebrated NieR: Automata's one million shipments milestone by hosting a live stream that revealed the new DLC plans for the game. These outfits are based on ones from the Japan exclusive game, Nier: Replicant. There are also masks that provide unique on-equip effects, and special ammunition that changes the appearance of enemy bullets. Mastery of these challenges will grant rewards, including a range of costumes, new music tracks, and various other pieces of equipment and cosmetic accessories.
Unfortunately, Square Enix did not provide a release date for when this content would actually launch, though a May 2nd release date for Japanese gamers was mentioned in a recent livestream.
NieR: Automata is available now for PS4 and PC.
