The Dublin, Ga., native finishes his MMA career with a 22-6 record, including notable wins over Alexander Gustafsson, Glover Teixeira, Ryan Bader, Phil Davis, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski.

He offered little in the way of reaction as Johnson opted to wrestle Cormier and despite landing a flurry of combinations in the opening stages of the fight, "Rumble" was submitted in the second round. When the two were separated, Johnson fired off head kicks that caught his face, and then ended the opening frame with a last-second takedown.

Daniel Cormier tries to avoid a punch from Anthony Johnson.

The champion sunk in a rear-naked choke on Anthony "Rumble" Johnson who tearfully retired after his defeat.

Cormier got through a tough weight cut to make it to the fight with Johnson, needing two tries to make the 205-pound limit.

Maybe Daniel Cormier should be a magician when he retires from the fight game.

Apparently, the New York State Athletic Commission has a rule forbidding fighters from having breast implants, which ruled out Gonzalez from her main event bout.

UFC 210 was full of controversy and head scratchers in different areas, and Twitter was all over every aspect of the night. For now, however, the wrestler is focused on the Johnson fight so Jones is a "non-factor".

Cormier on if he'll fight Jon Jones or Jimi Manuwa next: "I say over and over, if you're in class and you get suspended, you can't talk about a fight".

"I am going to stand up to him".

Johnson has stated that if his new career doesn't pan out, he can always return to fighting but for now it appears he's resigned to forge a new path that doesn't involve mixed martial arts.

'But I have to thank you all for being there for me, you know?' Jon Jones is the one that hasn't been here to fight again.

"Honestly I see a battle, I see a war". I want to be the best fighter possible.

When he stepped on the scale the second time, Cormier had his hands on the top of the towel and seemed to be pushing down ever so subtly - which could have the effect of lifting him, just fractionally enough, off the scale. I've been here the whole time.
